Bhagavad Gita Chapter 1 (Sloka no 1 to 47)

From this article, I will start the discussion of the slokas of each chapter. So, without wasting time let's begin the discussion. Chapter name :-  Arjuna's Vishada Yog ||  Chapter number :- 1st धृतराष्ट्र उवाच | धर्मक्षेत्रे कुरुक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः | मामकाः पाण्डवाश्चैव किमकुर्वत सञ्जय ||1|| Pronunciation :-  Dhṛitarāśhtra uvācha: dharma-kṣhetre kuru-kṣhetre samavetā yuyutsavaḥ| māmakāḥ pāṇḍavāśhchaiva kimakurvata sañjaya|| Translation :- Dhritarashtra said, " In the Kurukshetra which also glorifies itself as Dharmashastra where everyone gathered with the mode of War ceremony, Oh, Sanjay, among them my sons and Pandavas, what are they doing?" ** I will use Hanumat Method to explain the slokas. Hanumat Method is a newly developed method to explain the Vedic literature. Why does Bhagavad Gita called Bhagavad Gita?

This a rightful question that I have come across when I first started reading this book. Because this book is separated by Acharyas from Mahabharata and they gave this name to this conversation that happened between Krsna and Arjuna in the War field of Kurukshetra. Sri Krsna running to kill Bhishma Pitamaha and Arjun is trying to stop him because he took oath before Mahabharat War that he wouldn't hold any weapon during the War. The full name of this conversation is:- Srimad Bhagavad Gita . I individually explain each of these three words... 1. Srimad :- The word " Mad " means " Intellectuality " and " Sri " means " Beauty ". So, " Srimad " means " Beauty of Intellectualism ".   2. Bhagavad :- This word is made of two words. 1. Bhag and 2. Avad . The word " Bhag " means those six opulences which I have mentioned in my previous article and the word " Avad " means "Can't be killed" but here...

Introduction to the Structure of gita

Among the Vedic literature, Shrimad Bhagavad Gita has the most simple structure. It was recorded in a mode of communication between two sets of people. Under Set one there are two people...   Dhritarashtra     Sanjaya Under Set two there are two people... Arjun/Arjuna Krsna And Set one is depending upon Set two because whatever statements were exchanging between the people of Set two, those statements were first listened to by the Sanjaya of Set one, and then he was expounding those to Dhritarashtra. So, it is the communication model of exchanging knowledge just like our schools and universities use. Now, moving on to the environment of this discussion; which is quite unusual compared to the environment of our schools and universities. Cause, the Gita happened in the War field of Kurukshetra when the battle of Mahabharata was just about to begin. Now, allow me to explain the war of Mahabharata but briefly.                   ...
